I just determined that my writing sucks. I’m not going to recap what happened and what’s going on, because it’s actually quite simple. My family and I evacuated the New Orleans area and ended up in Allen, TX. Nice place and work requires me to be here occasionally. The New Orleans area is still messed up about [...] It seems that the city of New Orleans no longer has the facilities to provide a safe working environment for a data center. I am surprised that it really took a hurricane like Katrina for everyone to realize this. I know the worst case scenarios predicted it, however we like to believe it would not [...] I’m finished with the Katrina stuff, and the recent “Chocolate†comments from mayor Nagin were absolutely astonishing! I really thought better of him, I guess I was wrong. Everyone has been really working hard to get back on their feet and get the homes back in order. The people are doing great and I’m sure [...] I have found that people have a very short memory for things that go wrong. People remember the larger things that happen and will figure out the large personal lesson related to it. However people forget that for a larger disaster to happen it usually takes multiple smaller things to go wrong first and then [...] |
