http://www.verticalfarm.com/ My daily Slashdot reading presented this nifty nugget. It’s a rather cool idea about our farming practices, how we can improve them and the implications. Seems like it’s pretty well thought out and worth a few moments to look at. Greenpeace has done its yearly computer manufacturer ratings, and Apple is unfortunately at the bottom of the list 2.7/10. Lenovo, who bought the line from IBM, scored the best record out the bunch with a score of 8/10. Greenpeace Rankings: Lenovo: 8 The results from the “energy saving” idea congress had to move DST up by three weeks are in. It was a total waste of time, effort and money. Nothing was saved but congress got to pat itself on the back for looking useful. How about doing something useful and moving the CAFÉ standards up a [...] Actually it’s a documentary review, but all the same it’s about a movie called Who Killed the Electric Car. This is mostly about GM’s EV1 electric car, how it worked and why it’s no longer available to the public (or anyone), in spite of the fact that it was really loved by everyone that drove them. [...] I read this, about the EU and their stance on carbon emissions. It seems that France is all for nuclear power as a stable part of their energy supply.
