New Scientist has an article about kids TV watching habits and the possible repercussions to their academic performance. I find this interesting because they did control for mental/learning problems before the study, which implies all these kids were on average capable. It also states that the habits remained the same as they grew up, so [...] This study it seems was more on the effects of a specific medication and ADHD drivers. It seems that ADHD teens are a little more prone to distraction while driving than other groups of people. Who would have thought? It’s something to remember when my kids get to be old enough to start asking to drive… [...] This is today’s pull through Slashdot and some articles I don’t want to lose.
